to Work for Stark County Families
Judge Natalie R. Haupt was elected to the Stark County Court of Common Pleas Court, General Division, taking the bench in 2019. In addition to her normal duties, Judge Haupt presides over the Domestic Violence Drug Treatment Court. This specialized docket is certified by the Ohio Supreme Court and works to break the cycle of intimate partner violence in our community.
Judge Haupt began her legal career as an assistant public defender, where she represented indigent clients in all phases of criminal defense. Subsequently, she served as Common Pleas Court magistrate for over fifteen years. In all, Judge Haupt has nearly 21 years of judicial experience.
She served as the Court’s Administrative Judge in 2023 and as Presiding Judge in 2020.
Professionally, she is a member of the Ohio Judicial Conference, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Stark County Bar Association, where she serves on the Community Involvement Committee, Co-Chair of the Social Committee, and is a past member of the Executive Committee.
Judge Haupt is the only candidate in this race to receive a Highly Recommended Rating from the Stark County Bar Association.
Additionally, Judge Haupt sits on the Stark County Community Corrections Planning Board and serves as a Judicial Liaison to the Adult Probation Department.
Judge Haupt graduated from The Ohio State University, summa cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Additionally, Judge Haupt sits on the Board of ABCD, Inc. and is a member of the Management Committee. Judge Haupt previously served on the Lake Community YMCA Advisory Board, a member of Women’s Impact, Inc., and a graduate of Leadership Stark County.
Judge Natalie Haupt is married to Attorney Jason Haupt and together they have two children.
